Omega Centauri

With a start, I wake in the middle of the night. A cool breeze caresses my face, and I hear the gentle ripple of water lapping at a shingle beach. I gather my senses, and as I focus my eyes, I find myself gazing upwards at thousands of stars speckled and daubed across the sable surface of the celestial sphere. Vivid reds, blues and oranges mix with the cold silver of ordinary starlight, and I feel a distinct sense that I have seen this stellar extravaganza somewhere before.
